Your JSON stays in your browser
JsonLab is a client-side application. The JSON you paste, upload, format, validate, compare or convert is processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
Information we collect
We do not require accounts and do not collect personal information directly. We do use:
- Local storage — your most recent input and preferences are saved in your browser so the tools feel persistent. This never leaves your device.
- Analytics — with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (pages viewed, features used). We do not collect the contents of your JSON.
- Advertising — with your consent, we show ads via Google AdSense to keep the site free.
Cookies and consent
Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are loaded.
Google AdSense and third-party cookies
When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.
Analytics opt-out
In addition to declining cookies here, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Data retention
Locally stored data lives only in your browser until you clear it. Aggregated analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings.
Children's privacy
JsonLab is a developer utility and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
